Le projet
Fascinée par les dispositifs de transmission, Danièle Desnoyers réunit aujourd’hui des artistes impliqués dans de multiples projets du Carré des Lombes ainsi que des artistes oeuvrant dans le domaine des arts vivants et les invite à participer à un projet de compagnonnage conçu pour répondre au contexte spécifique que la pandémie a engendré.
Le répertoire du Carré des Lombes devient un territoire à partager, un jardin des possibles où des artistes issus de différentes générations, de différentes pratiques, se rencontrent et établissent un dialogue. Revisiter ce répertoire multiple et encourager son altérité, sa transformation au contact de nouvelles perceptions, de nouvelles intuitions, de nouveaux points de vue devient le point d’ancrage du projet.
Mais si le répertoire est en quelque sorte la pierre angulaire du projet, COMPAGNONNAGE 21 fait aussi place à des dispositifs de création ou de (re)création inclusifs pour lesquels la commissaire invitée Anne Thériault crée des liens entre des artistes, entreprend un dialogue avec eux et leur apporte un soutien, une forme d’accompagnement à imaginer entre les parties.
Si le compagnonnage végétal est une technique d’horticulture consistant à associer, au sein de mêmes cultures, des plantes compagnes l’une de l’autre, il s’agit ici de créer des associations avec différents artistes sans doute improbables mais porteuses de renouvellement des pratiques.
Quelques principes
Ne pas nuire, permettre le développement, encourager, ne pas se faire concurrence. Le compagnonnage devient ainsi un acte de bienveillance, de ressourcement et de développement.
Quelques règles de notre jeu
Un artiste choisit d’être le compagnon de deux à quatre artistes et développe un contexte où l’art de l’échange, de la transmission et du partage est au cœur de son projet.
Chaque cellule de compagnonnage doit regrouper des artistes de différentes générations et/ou de la diversité des pratiques en arts vivants.
Une ouverture vers d’autres formats que les dispositifs de représentation doit permettre la documentation de chacune des cellules de compagnonnage. Documents photographiques, vidéographiques et podcasts deviennent les artéfacts de ces projets. Des extraits choisis seront disponibles sur le site du Carré des Lombes au fil du temps et constitueront l’œuvre-témoin d’un processus collectif.
Le Carré des Lombes assurera la rémunération de tous les artistes impliqués en respectant la convention collective de l’Union des artistes. Les conditions en studio respecteront les mesures sanitaires de la CNESST.
Anne Thériault : commissaire invitée
Si le projet a d’abord été conçu par Danièle Desnoyers et que le répertoire du Carré des Lombes y occupe une place privilégiée, la contribution d’une commissaire invitée a pour objectif de diversifier les enjeux, allant de la conceptualisation globale du projet à sa pleine réalisation.
Impliquée pendant près de dix ans dans de nombreuses créations du Carré des Lombes, Anne Thériault est devenue au fil du temps une collaboratrice de premier plan au sein des projets de la compagnie.
Son expérience d’interprète auprès de nombreux chorégraphes et artistes de la scène théâtrale ou de la performance, son propre travail de recherche et de création ainsi que sa conceptualisation d’une structure telle Lorganisme en font une commissaire de premier plan pour un projet tel COMPAGNONNAGE 21. Elle assure la cohérence artistique entre chacune des cellules du projet et contribue à leur donner une vision élargie, suscitant le ressourcement pour les artistes impliqué.es.
LES CELLULES :
Cellule (Re)Recréation
Jean-Benoit Labrecque s’approprie la (RE)Re-création de Duos pour corps et instruments dans une version actualisée, hors-codes, et invite deux interprètes à se joindre à lui pour revisiter sous une perspective autre, la sienne, une oeuvre phare du répertoire du Carré des Lombes. À partir de La Boite chorégraphique créée en 2014 par La Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault, il investit le contenu de l’œuvre, accompagnée par deux interprètes qui ont participé à la recréation de la pièce en 2014, Anne Thériault et Karina Champoux.
Cellule UNFOLD
Nicolas Patry partage ses préoccupations entourant les notions de liberté, de voyage intérieur, d’engagement et d’affirmation de soi dans l’acte de créer. À travers l’apprentissage d’extraits de UNFOLD |7 perspectives, il aborde le travail en studio, ses tâches multiples et complexes sous le prisme de son expérience.
Cette cellule s’adresse à des interprètes qui ont le désir de partager une réflexion entourant cette question: comment rester connecté à ses pulsions et sa sensibilité dans un contexte de performance, de création, d’écriture et d’échanges au sein d’une équipe artistique ?
Cellule ouverte
Cette cellule est proposée à un.e artiste désirant développer sa démarche sans les impératifs liés à une production. Anne Thériault consultera l’artiste choisi.e pour déterminer avec elle ou lui ses besoins en terme d’accompagnement, ou tout autres besoins identifiés entre les deux parties.
Cet atelier bénéficie d’une aide exceptionnelle accordée par Diagramme gestion culturelle dans le cadre du projet COMPAGNONNAGE 21.
Cellule Solos
Anne Thériault partage des fragments de Sous la peau la nuit, de Paradoxe Mélodie et d’Anatomie d’un souffle et emprunte les chemins de traverses qui ont alimenté son imaginaire pour qu’advienne cette écriture-solo.
Comment faire résonner une substance physique différemment, tout en suivant ses instincts de performeur dans un rapport bienveillant au corps, à l’esprit et à la création?
Cette cellule s’adresse à des artistes qui ont le besoin, l’envie et la curiosité d’investir un matériel chorégraphique et de le déployer avec des qualités physiques radicales et d’intensités variées.
Cellule Processus Interprétation
Anne Thériault conçoit un atelier qui porte une attention particulière à l’engagement des interprètes et à leur impact dramaturgique dans un processus de création. Anne Thériault invite 4 artistes à approfondir concrètement leur réflexion à partir de l’identification d’un enjeu personnel lié à leur rôle et spécialisation d’interprète au sein d’un processus de création.
Sébastien Provencher (chorégraphe invité) assure le développement du matériel chorégraphique. Tout au long de cet atelier, Anne Thériault accompagne chaque performeur individuellement dans la poursuite de leur réflexion tout en ouvrant un dialogue collectif sur les enjeux spécifiques liés à la réalité des nouvelles pratiques d’interprétation.
