Founded in 1989 by choreographer Danièle Desnoyers, Le Carré des Lombes’ mandate is to support the research, creation and production of original dance works, and to ensure their distribution on national and international stages.

As a member of Circuit-Est choreographic center, the organization contributes to the sharing and consolidation of resources specifically dedicated to dance. The organization’s core values are continuity, sharing and equity.

Danièle Desnoyers’ creative universe is built on encounters with some of Montreal’s most prominent artists, collaborators and performers. Her repertoire reflects a practice deeply rooted in movement, and a rich and constant dialogue between body language, music, sound and space.
