Danièle Desnoyers has devoted most of her artistic career to exploring the ever-fascinating relationship between dance and music. The invitation from Domaine Forget, in the Charlevoix region, therefore holds great significance for her.
Located not far from the beach at Saint-Irénée, Domaine Forget offers visitors a spectacular view of the waters of the St. Lawrence River. Both choreographic and musical, the choreographer’s itinerary begins in the Domaine’s gardens, next to a sculpture by Françoise Sullivan, an iconic figure in Quebec dance. As the walk unfolds—punctuated by the presence of six emblematic performers from Carré des Lombes and the Quasar saxophone quartet—spectators are invited to a poetic and sensory experience that celebrates the beauty of the surroundings. The atmosphere becomes saturated with a multitude of sounds. Our senses are heightened as we enter the forest, the cradle of our collective imagination.
