UNFOLD | 7 PERSPECTIVES
IN PERFORMANCE AT OFF-CINARS
Presented at Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique on November 8 at 12:45 p.m. as part of the OFF-CINARS, UNFOLD | 7 perspectives is one of the Carré des Lombes‘ major shows. This is an opportunity to see or re-see this landmark work by Danièle Desnoyers performed by Myriam Arseneault, Léonie Bélanger, Hélène Dorland, Gabrielle Kachan, Abe Simon Mijnheer, Brian Mendez, Milan Panet-Gigon and Nicolas Patry.
UNFOLD | 7 perspectives was created in 2019. Between the premiere of this creation at Festival TransAmériques and today, the world has changed quite a bit. Enough to make us question the relevance of revisiting this work, which is still considered one of the most important works in the Carré des Lombes repertoire. Strangely, UNFOLD | 7 perspectives presaged this troubled area in which we are currently evolving. The beginnings of a simple approach, the disorders of a language where the desire of proximity struggles to establish itself. In an even more significant way, the piece remains porous to the world in which it evolves today. If the 7 perspectives are initially those of the interpreters who collaborated in the creation, the deployment in three parts of the work, also lets see this relationship to the beauty of a simple gesture, of the meeting.
