SHIFTING THE IMAGINATION

Le Carré des Lombes explores new creative venues

THE LANDSCAPE AS A MEETING POINT

The SCENOGRAPHIES-PAYSAGES cycle unfolds. This summer, Le Carré des Lombes ventures into evocative outdoor spaces, charged with an insular memory.

After a residency at La Montagnarde | ATSA at Saint-Adolphe d’Howard (Laurentians, Quebec) in June, Sardinia will welcome artistic teams from Italy and Montreal. Directed by Danièle Desnoyers, the in-situ creation will be set in three singular environments: an olive grove, an archaeological site and a port area.

The project is developed in partnership with the Fondazione Fabricca Europa per le arti contemporanee (CRISOL – CREATIVE PROCESSES 2022 – 2024), the TersicoreaT.off | Officina delle arti sceniche e performative, the FUORIMARGINE- Center for Dance and Performing Arts Production and Art Circulation.

COMPAGNONNAGE 24

Compagnonnage is an incubator for research projects and training, a flexible support network designed to foster a dialogue between emerging and established practices.

The spring edition of the 4th Compagnonnage 24 is launched this week with LA BRIGADE.

Like a performative road trip, the collective hits the road on April 26 and May 4. Its route is set by a random mileage: this will generate several performances – wandering rituals that (re)give meaning to common / passing / deserted spaces.

MONTREAL-MARRAKECH

Originally conceived for the stage, MONTREAL-MARRAKECH was presented outdoors for the first time last March, as a part of the event On Marche, Festival International De Danse Contemporaine à Marrakech. The rich program featured memorable encounters with artists from Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Jordan, France, Spain, Germany and Belgium.
